Shenakwa Hawkins is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Nevada and California. She has been serving in the medical field for over 20 years. 

Shenakwa Hawkins started her nursing career in 1999 in Southern California.

A major source of inspiration for Shenakwa stems from the fact that she is a member of a traditionally marginalized community who have experienced health inequities in health care. As a result, Shenakwa felt it was her obligation and duty to use her position as a Family Nurse Practitioner to combat the existing health inequities that impacts the members of underserved communities in Las Vegas. Shenakwa's second source of inspiration comes from her daughter who is a biology major student at UNLV.

Shenakwa (NP Hawkins) has worked in behavioral health, emergency and trauma services majority of her healthcare career.

Shenakwa Hawkins graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Masters in Nursing and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has had the privilege of working in Pain Management and Primary Care here in  greater Las Vegas. When not striving to be the best provider and establishing long lasting relationship with patients in the community, Shenakwa Hawkins enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, 2 dogs, and family.
