About

Drake State Community College is a historic black college and university (HBCU), student-friendly and community-focused institution of higher learning located in Huntsville, Alabama.

A community for the future

With Huntsville’s unique blend of space and defense industries, biotechnology, healthcare and high-tech manufacturing, the community has high expectations for local educational institutions. Drake State rises to the challenge of anticipating workforce demands of the future by preparing highly-skilled workers with a mix of academics and technical training programs and grant funded initiatives.
