CANDIDATE PROFILE: Dawn Throne, Esq.

Dawn has the professional and personal experience to be an excellent Family Court Judge.  First, Dawn has a proven ability to work hard.  She was raised by a single mother who was able to escape an abusive marriage.  She learned early in life that hard work and education would be her way out of the cycle of poverty and violence. She is the first person in her family to attend college.

Dawn became an attorney to help others and to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.  She has spent the last 24 years standing up for her clients in court.  She has represented clients in many different areas of the law, including contract and business disputes, personal injury, bankruptcy, probate, and estate litigation, as well as a lot of family law cases.  For 15 years, she has only practiced family law.  Dawn is one of only 48 Family Law Specialists in Nevada. Dawn also has judicial experience as an arbitrator and a substitute hearing master.

Dawn loves the personal nature of family law cases and she fights tirelessly for her clients’ best interests and to help them achieve positive results.  Dawn regularly represents clients who cannot afford an attorney.

Dawn knows how scary it is to have to go to family court.  Not only has she fought besides hundreds of clients, she has also been through the heartache of a divorce.  To Dawn, family is the most important thing.  She is a mother and a wife.  She has helped raise stepchildren and helped care for her grandparents and great-grandparents.  Most importantly, Dawn cares about what happens to the children and families in Family Court.  She will serve our families well.

Please vote for Dawn for Family Court Judge, Department U.
